Dr. Ron Sipus, Head of Schools
Dr. Sipus comes to CVCS as an accomplished leader in Christian education. He began his career as a high school teacher and coach, and has also served as a high school athletic director, dean of students and principal in Arizona. He eventually progressed to the role of Superintendant in both the private and public sector in Arizona. After relocating to Southern California, Dr. Sipus returned to Christian education as a Superintendant for a K-12 private Christian school with a thriving enrollment of 1,950 students where he served for over 18 years. Dr. Sipus received his undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education and Biology. He received his Master's Degree in Secondary Health Science from Arizona State University, and his Ph.D. in Higher and Adult Education from Arizona State University. Dr. Sipus serves as an accreditation team member for the Association of Christian Schools International and is Vice-President of the Spalding Education Foundation. He is a regular seminar consultant speaker for numerous community service groups, civic organizations, church groups and educational organizations.
Dr. Terry A. Gaunt, High School Principal
Dr. Gaunt has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Southern California College, a Master of Arts in Education from United States International University and a Doctorate in Education from La Salle University. He currently holds a California State Single Subject Teaching Credential and a Lifetime Certification from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
Dr. Gaunt has been a part of the CVCS family since 1987. He has served as a High School Science Teacher, Athletic Director, ASB Advisor, Science Department Chair and most recently as High School Principal. He has also been involved with the students as a Head Baseball Coach, Retreat Coordinator and currently heads up the Russia Missions Trip.

Mr. White begins his seventh year as Principal at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools and his twenty-seventh year in Christian Education. He began his teaching career as a fifth grade teacher. After four years as an Elementary Teacher and Coach, he became a Junior High Teacher and Athletic Director, working from 1987 to 1991 here at CVCS in the Junior High Department. He left CVCS in the early 90’s to work for a new Christian school where he oversaw the Junior High Department and eventually became an Assistant Principal. In addition, he was asked to become the school’s accreditation coordinator and successfully led them to full accreditation status with both ACSI and WASC. He returned to CVCS in the fall of 2004. Mr. White received his undergraduate degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1979. He earned his graduate degree from United States International University with a Master’s Degree in Education in 1991. He holds both a Professional Administrators Credential and Teaching Credential with the Association of Christian Schools International. Since 2001, Mr. White has served both the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) visiting Christian schools in Southern California and Chairing Accreditation Teams to help them achieve accreditation status with both organizations. Mr. White has been married to his wife, Karen for nearly 31 years. He has four children, Michael 30, Daniel 27, Sarah 18 and Rebecca 15. They live in Mission Viejo where Mr. White grew up and has lived since 1969. |
