CVCS has experienced an exciting first half of the school year. In September, we opened with 492 students and 80 faculty members. After a summer of significant facility improvements including the installation of a new artificial turf field, new lighting for the gymnasium, new technology infrastructure, and the remodeling of the worship center, the school year has moved along with success in academics, athletics, activities and special events.
Students are achieving well with high percentages of students achieving at a greater than 3.0 GPA in junior high and high school. Several seniors have already received acceptance letters to universities such as UCLA, Biola, Azusa Pacific, and UC Berkley.
Our athletic programs and performing arts productions have received strong support from the school community. Congratulations are in order for our 5th and 6th grade boys for winning championships in flag football and basketball, and for our varsity boys basketball team for winning a league championship and setting a school record with 23 wins. Our performing arts department received recognition at the ACSI conference for an “Exemplary School” Program. Productions of Barefoot in the Park and A Charles Dickens Christmas have continued the tradition of excellence of CVCS performing arts.
After years of prayer and planning, CVCS is looking to the future with a renewed excitement and purpose. God led a transfer of control of the school from Capistrano Valley Church to a new non-profit organization, Premier Christian Education Group (PCE). Consideration is now underway for relocating the high school and acquiring land and constructing buildings for a new Christian high school. We intend to be obedient and claim the vision God has provided the CVCS community.
You are invited to explore the CVCS experience through the website or come see all that CVCS has to offer first hand with a visit to the campus.
