Academics
At Capistrano Valley Christian Schools, our goal is to provide our students with a distinctively Christian worldview education.
CVCS believes that the institutions of home and school ministry should carry out the task “to teach our children diligently, and to train up a child in the way he should go…” and further, the First Amendment guarantee of the free exercise of religion provides the foundation for the Christian school ministry. A Christian school should achieve academic excellence through disciplined Bible and academic learning, taught by dedicated Christian teachers within a Christian environment.

Elementary School
Our Elementary School is unique because our Junior-Kindergarten through Sixth grade provides a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning that will prepare them for their future Jr. High experience. We provide a:

environment for children to grow and develop into young men and women of God. At CVCS we have a diversified group of Christian teachers and classroom aides who work closely with your children assisting them to develop their fullest potential. Junior High School
Our Junior High School is a place where children can find:
Belonging | Challenge | Spirit | Direction.
Our Junior High School serves 55 students in grades seven and eight. Students receive instruction in five core academic disciplines: English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Bible. Electives include: Art, Yearbook, Musical Theater, Spanish, and Dickens Carolers.
Students who attend our Jr. High School have opportunity to qualify for an Honors Program in both English and Mathematics. Students test into these honors courses and are eligible to receive extra grade points for their successful completion. Algebra I is offered to qualified students in mathematics and all Jr. High students are administered the California State University exit exam to determine high school placement.
History comes alive during our annual trip to our Nation’s Capital. Each year our eighth grade students have the opportunity travel to Washington DC and discover our Christian Heritage. This week long trip includes stops at Boston, Philidelphia, New York, Gettysburg and Washington DC.
Our highly qualified and professional faculty hold valid ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) teaching credentials as a condition of employment and have expertise in their field of study. This means they either have degree majors in their field or demonstrated experience within the subject matter. Each is dedicated to serving the Lord through Christian Education.
