Location
Capistrano Valley Christian Schools is located in southern Orange County in the heart of historic San Juan Capistrano, California.

Description
Capistrano Valley Christian Elementary School is a co-educational, junior kindergarten through sixth grade school founded in 1973. Admission to the school is on the basis or entrance test scores, personal interview, and academic history.

Mission
The mission of Capistrano Valley Christian Schools is, “To provide Educational Excellence in a Christ-centered environment.” Our vision is, “To be recognized for academic and innovative education based on a Biblical worldview and the development of leaders equipped to reach our world for Christ.”

Accreditation
Capistrano Valley Christian Schools is fully accredited by the School’s Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)

Daily Schedule
Traditional daily schedule begins at 8:30 am. Lower Elementary (grades K-3) dismiss at 2:45 pm and Upper Elementary (grades 4-6) dismiss at 3:00 pm. Morning and afternoon recess and lunchtime are also provided.

Academic Program
Students receive daily instruction in Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. In addition, students receive regular instruction in Art Masters, Keyboarding, Technology Education, Library/Media Center and Physical Education, which are targeted to California State Standards.

Chapel Program
All students participate in chapel. Chapels are configured by grade levels to target age appropriate worship. JK - 6th grade have chapel times on a weekly basis.

Athletics
Our elementary school is a member of the Triway League of Orange County. Boys and Girls sports are offered to students in grades fifth and sixth. Fall sports include boys’ flag football and girls’ volleyball. Basketball is offered to boys and girls in the winter and soccer is offered in the spring.
