Capistrano Valley Christian High School, through its curriculum, electives and extracurricular activities, prepares students for admission into college and for achievement and success in the college environment.

Our mission to provide educational excellence in a Christ-centered environment is accomplished by an integrated, distinctively Christian worldview education. In addition to our University of California accepted core curriculum, we also offer 14 honors and advanced placement courses.

With our small class size (average 9:1), caring and committed Christian teachers work closely with students assisting them to reach their fullest potential. Over 20% of our high school faculty has advanced degrees and the average faculty teaching experience is 12 years.

We also encourage and create opportunities for active participation in extracurricular activities and 75% of our high school students participate in athletics or in the performing arts program.

Our students consistently perform above the national and California averages for college SAT tests, and our graduating students are annually accepted at prestigious colleges and universities (see College Preparation).

Student SAT Scores

The latest SAT (Standard Achievement reasoning Test) shows that our class of 2006 graduating seniors scored well above the California and National Averages. Below are the average scores of the 50 seniors who took the test of the 55 who graduated. The scale is based on a 2400 high score (800 verbal and 800 math). It is wonderful to see that our students continue to be prepared very well for their future educational experiences.
