Junior High School

Our Junior High School is a place where children can find:
Belonging | Challenge | Spirit | Direction.
Our Junior High School serves 63 students in grades seven and eight. Students receive instruction in five core academic disciplines: English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Bible. Electives include: Art, Yearbook, Musical Theater, Spanish, and Dickens Carolers. Students who attend our Jr. High School have opportunity to qualify for an Honors Program in both English and Mathematics. Students test into these honors courses and are eligible to receive extra grade points for their successful completion. Algebra I is offered to qualified students in mathematics and all Jr. High students are administered the California State University exit exam to determine high school placement. History comes alive during our annual trip to our Nation’s Capital. Each year our eighth grade students have the opportunity travel to Washington DC and discover our Christian Heritage. This week long trip includes stops at Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Gettysburg and Washington DC. Our highly qualified and professional faculty hold valid ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) teaching credentials as a condition of employment and have expertise in their field of study. This means they either have degree majors in their field or demonstrated experience within the subject matter. Each is dedicated to serving the Lord through Christian Education.

Uniform Guidelines

2011-2012 Dress Code Policy - All Schools
CVCS believes that a designated student wardrobe is a positive way to emphasize membership and group identity, fostering a community spirit. Uniforms allow students to be recognized for who they are rather than what they wear, and help to promote school unity. Student apparel reflects the conduct, attitudes and the quality of the school. This helps students to realize that a person’s unique gifts and personality traits go deeper than their apparel and aren’t diminished by uniform dress. At CVCS, JK-12th Grade students are required to wear uniforms.
