Jr. High Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to our Jr. High School Web Page. Our Jr. High School consists of grades Seven and Eight. It is a rigorous and challenging academic environment for those who are willing to work hard and reach their fullest potential. It is place for students to grow spiritually and mature in their Christian faith.

Spiritual development is our most fundamental core value. Our teachers are genuine Christian believers and are honorable role models for our students. Each is a member of a local evangelical church and capable of leading students to Christ. We have daily Bible instruction in the Foundations of the Christian Faith. A number of our students have been baptized at chapel and are learning to become mature Disciples of Christ.

Capistrano Valley Christian Schools is a leader in technology education. Students from Kindergarten through Eighth grade become competent in various Microsoft Applications including, word processing, excel, power point, graphics, desktop publishing, data base application, Internet, and more. Our technology education is ‘purpose driven and aligned with all ISTE (International Standards of Technology Education) standards.

Students who attend our Jr. High School have opportunity to qualify for an Honors Program in both English and Mathematics. Students test into these honors courses and are eligible to receive extra grade points for their successful completion. Algebra I is offered to qualified students in mathematics and all Jr. High students are administered the California State University exit exam to determine high school placement.

We have a dedicated Jr. High Science lab that is well equipped so students engage in frequent hands on labs to develop deeper understanding of the subject matter. Our curriculum in Science is California standards based and meets all the requirements of the University of California Regents.

History comes alive during our annual trip to our Nation’s Capital. Each year our eighth grade students have the opportunity travel to Washington DC and discover our Christian Heritage. This week long trip includes stops at Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Gettysburg and Washington DC.

Our highly qualified and professional faculty hold valid ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) teaching credentials as a condition of employment and have expertise in their field of study. This means they either have degree majors in their field or demonstrated experience within the subject matter. Each is dedicated to serving the Lord through Christian Education.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss any aspect of our junior high school with you. I may be contacted at 949-493-5683 or by email at tgaunt@cvcs.org

SHINE Auction
March 31, 2012
United States

It’s time once again to announce our annual SHINE dinner auction on March 31, 2012. This year we are excited to be holding the event at the historic Casino in San Clemente. This special event is an opportunity to help the school fund scholarship opportunities and to continue to upgrade and maintain the current CVCS facilities. With your participation, we are certain to make this a huge success.  Please join all of us to:

  • Pray for a successful evening!
  • Attend the auction and invite friends and family!
  • Donate to your classroom theme basket
  • Become a table underwriter
  • Advertise your business in our event program
  • Purchase a personal tribute in the event program
  • Seek family, friends, businesses and associates to fulfill our need for interesting and unique items to auction (such as vacation homes, special skills, etc.)

Please download the Donation letter and Donation Request form for your use.  Don’t be afraid to ask the businesses you patronize for a donation.

Many thanks for your continued support of our schools as we strive to grow and meet the needs of Orange County’s families through Educational Excellence in a Christ-Centered Environment.  Our prayer is to see CVCS thrive well into the future.
