Location
Capistrano Valley Christian Schools is located in southern Orange County in the heart of historic San Juan Capistrano, California.

Description
Capistrano Valley Christian Jr. High School is a co-educational, seventh and eighth grade school founded in 1973. Admission to the school is on the basis or entrance test scores, personal interview, and academic history.

 

Mission
The mission of Capistrano Valley Christian Schools is, “To provide Educational Excellence in a Christ-centered environment.” Our vision is, “To be recognized for academic and innovative education based on a Biblical worldview and the development of leaders equipped to reach our world for Christ.”

Accreditation
Capistrano Valley Christian Schools is fully accredited by the School’s Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)

Daily Schedule
Traditional daily schedule begins at 7:45am. Students rotate classes for seven 45 minute classes through out the day. Five core subjects of Bible, Mathematics, English, Science, and History are required. Physical Education is also a requirement five days per week. Students may choose from a variety of electives including Art, Musical Theater, Dickens Carolers, Computers, Yearbook, Spanish, Study Skills, and Educational Program for Gifted Youth, and more. A morning nutrition break and afternoon lunch is also provided.

Academic Program
Our academic program is fully accredited and aligned with California State Standards.

Chapel Program
Students participate in weekly chapels. Chapels are configured by grade levels to target age appropriate worship. Grades 6-8 have chapel times together on a weekly basis.

Athletics
Our Junior High school is a member of the Parochial Athletic League (PAL). Boys and Girls sports are offered to students in grades fifth through eighth. Fall sports include boys’ flag football and girls’ volleyball. Basketball is offered to boys and girls in the winter and soccer is offered in the spring.
