11/13/09 Montes, LaFrance, and Jolliff Compete In CIF Individual Tennis Sectionals
Chloe Jolliff lost a heartbreaker in the singles competition to a very good player from Riverside in a third set Super tiebreaker. Audrey Montes/Taylor LaFrance were defeated in the first round of doubles by a powerful, experienced team from Dana Hills H.S. Congratulations to the three of them for qualifying for this tournament. They fought hard and played well right to the finish, representing well Capistrano Valley Christian high school. 11/10/09 Eagles Fall To Lakewood Mayfair In CIF Div. Four Playoffs Wild Card Round
Competing in the CIF playoffs for the first time since the '02 season, your Lady Eagles tennis team lost at Mayfair H.S. 4-14. Chloe Jolliff swept her singles matches and Taylor LaFrance with partner Hannah Hartman won a doubles set. This was a new and potentially valuable experience for a young team that was not expected to be this competitive when the season began.
11/5/09 CVCS Ties Fairmont Prep 9-9 But Narrowly Misses Upset Bid By 2 Games 71-73
Attempting to make amends for a previous 7-11 setback to these same Huskies, the Lady Eagles fought hard and down to the wire, equalling Fairmont Prep in sets won at 9 apiece. Rather than overtime tiebreakers, CIF rules mandate a count in games to determine the winner, and CVCS came up two games short. After the Eagles' 11-7 victory yesterday over the Connelly Koalas, CVCS and Fairmont Prep were playing for the "unofficial" San Joaquin League championship.
11/3/09 Jolliff Sweeps But Eagles Fall To #4 Ranked Linfield 4-14
In the first round sophomore Chloe Jolliff defeated the Lions' #1 player 7-6 in dramatic fashion rallying from an 0-4 deficit in the 6-6 tiebreaker. Chloe then defeated the #2 singles player 6-4 and easily beat the #3. Sophomore Hannah Hartman also won a singles set.
9/26/09 Jolliff Earns All Tourney Honors At Prestigious Prep Classic

Chloe Jolliff was named to the All Tournament Team after two days of matches in the 4th Annual Prep Classic Invitational at the Tennis Club of Newport Beach (formerly the Balboa Bay Racquet Club). The field included host Sage Hill School, 4-time defending Nevada State Champion Las Vegas Bishop Gorman, defending CIF Champ St. Margarets, J-Serra, and CVCS. Other Lady Eagles' match winners: Genevieve Engelhorn and Annabelle Burns.

9/23/09 First Career Singles Victory For Nelson; Eagles On Fire--Defeat Pomona Catholic 12-6
Sophomore Kelli Nelson's first round win in the 100 + temperatures at the Claremont Tennis Club sparked the eventual Eagles victory over the Pacers.
9/22/09 Two Doubles Sweeps Lead Eagles Past BC Senior captain Audrey Montes and doubles partner Soo Kim swept all three of their doubles sets at 6-1 each and junior Genevieve Engelhorn with partner freshman Camille Meraud (the French Chicks team) swept all three sets also 7-5, 6-4, 6-1 as the Eagles knocked off former Academy League foe Brethren Christian 15-3. Senior captain Taylor LaFrance and sophomore Chloe Jolliff contributed singles victories while sophomore Hannah Hartman teamed up with freshman Madison Sharp to earn two team points in doubles.
9/12/09 Jolliff Perfect At OCC
Although the young Eagles placed 8th overall in this CIF First Serve Tournament at Orange Coast College, sophomore Chloe Jolliff went undefeated against the best players from J-Serra, Troy HS, Garden Grove HS, and West Covina South Hills High. Chloe's scores: 8-0, 8-1, 8-3, 6-0. The tournament field also included Mater Dei, Valencia, and El Dorado. It was a good introduction to competitive tennis for CVCS' new players.
