Chris Rivera

Head Coach-Boy’s Varsity Soccer

The 2010/11 season will be Coach Rivera's first year as the Head Varsity Soccer Coach at CVCS.  He has been promoted to the Head seat after former Head Coach Luke Taylor stepped down because of his new full time job.  Chris has been a varsity assistant for the Eagles for the last two seasons.  

Chris graduated from West Virginia University, located in Morgantown, West Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in History in 1996 and a Master's degree in Communication Studies in 2006. He also attained a California teaching credential in social science in 2008 from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California.  

Chris played on the varsity Boy's Soccer team at his high school, South Brunswick High School, in South Brunswick, New Jersey.  He's also played international competition at the Junior Olympic Development level in New Jersey.  He began his coaching career in 2008 as an assistant with the Boy’s Varsity team at CVCS.

He currently is a social studies teacher for the CVCS high school teaching US history, world history, and geography-world cultures.

Chris is married to Meka Rivera and has a one year old son, Colin Michael Rivera.  He resides in Irvine, California.
