Coach Dave King

Coach Dave King has been the Head basketball Coach at CVCS for three seasons and one year as the assistant coach. During his tenure at CVCS the Eagles have won 2 league championships and went to the quarter-finals in the CIF playoffs all 3 seasons. The combined record of those 3 seasons is 63-20. During that time Coach King was named Academy League Coach of the Year 2 times. Prior to CVCS, Dave coached at Laguna Hills High School in the 1980's and Mission Viejo High School in the 1970's. Dave was also the coach at St. Michaels High School 1972-1974 . In the 1990's served as a CIF Basketball official. Dave has been a physical education teacher in the SVUSD since 1975. Coach King was the founding producer of" Living Life", a Christian television program that aired over 4 years mostly in Orange County. Dave and his wife Lysa 2 daughters and 1 son. They also have 2 grandsons, Tyler 2 years old and Cole 6 months, with the third grandchild due in mid October 2008. Their other joys of their life includes their Golden Retriever, Sandee. Dave is a graduate of Cal State University Fullerton and earned his Master Degree from University of San Francisco.
