CLEMENTE BONILLA

Clemente Bonilla is our Head Varsity Baseball Coach.  He is also the Junior High Athletic Director and PE teacher for CVCS.

With the strong leadership of Coach Bonilla, the Eagles advances to the CIF Quarterfinals in just his first season, 2007.

He came to CVCS fresh out of the professional baseball system where he played in both the Cincinnati Reds and Baltimore Orioles organizations for five years.  Bonilla was signed to his first professional baseball contract in 2002 with the Reds.  This was after a stellar collegiate career playing four years of Division 1 baseball at Southeast Missouri St. where he was the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year and a Second Team All American.  Bonilla prepped at El Toro High School.  He was an All League Player there three times and was a two time All CIF Player.

Coach Bonilla says “My purpose in coaching is to help grow and inspire Christian-like character in each and everyone of my players.  To help any players with the ability to play beyond high school to get there and enjoy a college baseball experience. To show how baseball can relate to everyday living and help them to become better men in their post high school life.”
