High School
Our High School, through its curriculum, electives and extracurricular activities, prepares students for admission into college and for achievement and success in the college environment. We also work hard to provide and encourage:
Opportunities | Participation | Success
in a variety of extracurricular activities and programs here at CVCS. At CVCS 75% of our high school students participate in athletics or in the performing arts program.
Our mission to provide educational excellence in a Christ-centered environment is accomplished by an integrated, distinctively Christian worldview education. In addition to our University of California accepted core curriculum, we also offer 14 honors and advanced placement courses.
With our small class size (average 9:1), caring and committed Christian teachers work closely with students assisting them to reach their fullest potential. Over 20% of our high school faculty has advanced degrees and the average faculty teaching experience is 12 years.
We also encourage and create opportunities for active participation in extracurricular activities and 75% of our high school students participate in athletics or in the performing arts program.
Our students consistently perform above the national and California averages for college SAT, ACT, AP tests, and our graduating students are annually accepted at prestigious colleges and universities (see College Preparation).

Uniform Guidelines
2011 - 2012 Dress Code Policy - All Schools

CVCS believes that a designated student wardrobe is a positive way to emphasize membership and group identity, fostering a community spirit. Uniforms allow students to be recognized for who they are rather than what they wear, and help to promote school unity. Student apparel reflects the conduct, attitudes and the quality of the school. This helps students to realize that a person’s unique gifts and personality traits go deeper than their apparel and aren’t diminished by uniform dress. At CVCS, JK-12th Grade students are required to wear uniforms.
