Spiritual Emphasis
Our goal is that our students will love the Lord with all of their hearts, minds and souls; and that they will know Christ as their personal Savior. With that knowledge, our students will develop and use their God‐given gifts and abilities in daily life. We hope that students evidence the fruits of the Spirit in developmentally appropriate ways and that they will intellectually defend their faith. Students should possess and be able to articulate a biblical worldview and know, understand and apply God’s Word in daily life. From this head and heart knowledge, students will effectively share their faith with others and understand that their choices and actions have eternal consequences for both themselves and others. Each week throughout the school year, all CVCS students attend Chapel and are challenged to grow in their faith and service.
Mentorship Program
This opportunity creates small groups designed to train students to be leaders and to integrate students’ academic, spiritual, and social lives through the medium of healthy peer communities and meaningful, consistent relationships with a faculty mentor.
Technology
CVCS is committed to providing a learning environment where technology is a functional and accessible tool for all teachers and students. As part of this commitment, all high school students participate in a 1 to 1 laptop program. As a participant in this program, each high school student will receive a state‐of‐the‐art tablet PC that will serve as an integral component of the curriculum in each class. We are proud to offer the only fully integrated 1 to 1 tablet program in South Orange County.
