Haley Westberg grew up nearby in Laguna Niguel, enjoying all the year-round outdoor activities Southern California has to offer. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University San Marcos. At CSUSM she was able to be a leader in a few philanthropies, such as Make A Wish Foundation and Autism Speaks. There she found her true love of helping others, especially children, which led her to want to pursue a career in education.
After graduating from CSUSM, Haley moved up north to attend California State University East Bay and earned her California Teaching Credential. Haley was hired by CVCS in 2017 and has loved teaching the fifth grade ever since. She too attended a private Christian elementary school and wanted to continue to share her love of the Lord with her students, just as she had received from her teachers. Her creativity in teaching and love of hands-on teaching, landed her the honor of receiving a ‘Top 25 Teacher of Orange County” Award in 2019. Haley is passionate about finding the learning style of each of her students and adapting her lessons to ensure their success. Her goal for each student is to develop confidence, grit and a strong love for the Lord.
Haley enjoys traveling, hiking, going to the beach and all things outdoors with her husband Bennett. They recently adopted a kitten named Stanley and are enjoying being new cat parents.
