Marnie Day

Elementary Principal, RISE Director

Ms. Day brings more than 31 years of experience in education.  She was a public elementary school teacher for 19 years before transitioning to Christian education. She was the creator and director of an academic support program at Friends Christian in Yorba Linda, and also served a six-year term as Dean of Students at Friends. She earned a B.A. in Child Development and a teaching credential from Whittier College and a M.Ed. in administration and supervision from Liberty University. She has also earned a CLAD certification for English Language Learners and an ACSI Administrators Credential in her career.

In addition to her impressive credentials, Ms. Day is also tremendously relational and embodies the culture of love for Jesus and others that define the CVCS spirit. Ms. Day has been the CVCS elementary principal since 2018 and is also the RISE director of our special education program.

Ms. Day holds a deep belief that each child is created in the image of God for something great. She is motivated to provide each child with an excellent education that develops the whole child. At the heart of everything we do at CVCS is to help each student understand that their identity is anchored in who they are in Christ Jesus. Ms. Day believes that through deep relationships with students, parents, and staff, we can accomplish great things!

In her spare time, you will find her playing with her grandchildren, gardening, crocheting, watching college sports and teaching Sunday School.
