Title: Junior High Science Teacher
Departments: Junior High

Biography:

Britt Masters was born in Laguna Beach and raised locally. Graduating from the South Orange County School of the Arts and Health and Medical Occupations Academy from Dana Hills High School, she grew up loving to combine her passion for science with creative pursuits.

Mrs. Masters graduated from Cal. State Fullerton with a B.S. in Child and Adolescent Development, her multiple subject teaching credential, and single subject Biological Sciences credential. While finishing college she had the opportunity to join 25 CSUF teachers and teach junior high English in China in 2007. That experience taught her flexibility and creativity (all she had was a piece of chalk)!

Mrs. Masters taught both elementary and performing arts at Rancho Capistrano Christian School in SJC the two years before it closed. Overjoyed to join the CVCS team, she taught JH science, JH Musical Theater, and directed musicals. She had the phenomenal privilege of relaunching JH Retreat and kick-starting the Catalina Science Trip. She had an absolute blast working with students, walking alongside them as they grew in their love for Christ. Teaching in a hands-on capacity, studying what the Lord has made, was a dream for Britt, truly believing, "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." Romans 1:20 Launching the first year of the JH Student Leadership Team and growing an empowered enthusiastic group of young leaders was a highlight in her career.

When not teaching, Mrs. Masters enjoys travel of all kinds, including road trips with her family. She’s slightly obsessed with thrift stores, and believes you haven’t truly lived until you’ve performed karaoke at least once in your life.
