Mrs. Kelle Bond
Kelle Bond enters her twenty-fourth year as both a junior high teacher and varsity volleyball coach. For nine years she primarily taught U.S. History and Literature to the junior high students at Baytown Christian Academy in Texas. It was there where she met her husband Aaron and started her coaching career. During her tenure at Baytown, her varsity teams were six-time state finalists, four-time state champions and held an overall record of 215–46. In 2006, she was selected as Texas Area Coach of the Year.
From 2006 to 2009, Bond was blessed to serve as an assistant volleyball coach at Boise State University (Boise, Idaho). She was camp director, travel coordinator and assisted in both on court training and recruiting. In her three years at BSU, she coached three All-WAC conference athletes and eight All-WAC academic athletes.
From 2009-2012, she taught junior high Bible and coached varsity volleyball at Cole Valley Christian (Meridian, Idaho). There she guided her students through the Old Testament and led her varsity teams to two state playoff appearances, a state runner-up and an overall finish of 61-18. She was recognized as IHSAA Coach of the Year in both 2009 and 2011.
From 2012 to present, she has continued her teaching and coaching career at Capistrano Valley Christian. Here, her eighth-grade students are taught how to make a case for the resurrection of Jesus and participate in “Worldview Wednesdays” where they discuss important theological questions and topics through the lens of Scripture.
As the head coach for the girls varsity volleyball team, Bond has led the Lady Eagles to a 203-103 record, CIF Finalists (2016-17; 2021), State Regional Finalists (2016; 2021), back-to-back League Champions (2016-17; 2022-23) and a CIF Division 4 Title (2023). In 2015, she received the CIF Champions for Character Coaches Award, was selected as League Coach of the Year (2016,17, 21, 22) and chosen as the CIF Division 4 Coach of the Year in 2023. In 2022, Bond also helped start the beach volleyball program, achieving an overall record of 45-10 and making school and state history as a back-to-back Division 2 CIF Finalist (2023-24). She was also selected as back-to-back league coach of the year as well as the Orange County beach volleyball coach of the year (2024).
Bond graduated from Biola University (’97) with a bachelor of arts in social science and received her Masters in Apologetics at Talbot School of Theology (‘21). She loves to travel and camp with her family in their Volkswagen camper van and enjoys hiking with their dog Gryffindor, reading, and all things related to the beach!
