Mr. Ryan Kloostra
Mr. Kloostra is passionate about junior high students. With over 15 years of experience at the junior high level, he believes that 7th and 8th grade students are amazing young people who are just beginning to discover their true potential in Christ.
A Michigan native, Mr. Kloostra moved to California in 2005 to accept a junior high history position at Bethany Christian School in Sierra Madre, California. He bought a 1974 Volkswagen van, started surfing, and married the love of his life.
Together they moved to South Orange County in 2014 when Mr. Kloostra was called to a junior high history position at CVCS. After one semester in the classroom, he added the newly created position of junior high principal to his duties. Through the years he has launched multiple programs and clubs meant to inspire students and widen their perspective. He believes the real rockstars of any school are the dedicated teachers who love investing in the lives of their students.
Mr. Kloostra and his wife live in San Clemente with their two girls. They enjoy celebrating God’s creation by adventuring through the national parks, surfing epic waves, and watching beautiful sunsets.
