Mrs. Hilen brings over a decade of experience in the publishing industry and holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Psychology from Concordia University, Irvine. When her children were young, she dedicated an additional ten years to various roles in Christian Education. Her passion for nurturing the hearts and minds of children, coupled with a deep desire for each child to feel seen, heard, and loved, led her to pursue a teaching credential from Hope International University in Fullerton. She feels a deep sense of belonging at CVCS and is thrilled to be part of the community.

Mrs. Hilen shares that her husband, who has been her greatest supporter for over 20 years, continues to be a source of strength and encouragement. Together, they have a son and daughter. As a family, they cherish spending time together, enjoying good food, traveling, backpacking, ziplining, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors while marveling at the wonders of God's creation.
 
Her favorite Bible verse is "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4
