Mr Zienka was a pastor for eight years before heeding the Lord’s call to be teaching in the classroom. He loves guiding students through the Old Testament's difficulties and discovering God's character within those hard texts. He believes the Old Testament invites us into a grand narrative and he finds tremendous joy watching students join their life to God’s story. He continues to be active in his local church, leading Bible studies or preaching sermons as he is passionate about bridging the gap between the academic world and the church.

 

Mr. Zienka earned his Master of Arts in the Old Testament from Talbot School of Theology, Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University, and his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries from Biola University.

 

Mr. Zienka, his wife, and his daughter currently live in Fullerton. When he isn't nerding out about the Old Testament prophets or textual criticism, Mr. Zienka can be found collecting sneakers, watching Formula 1 races, and trying to catch up to his wife's skill in rock climbing. He also enjoys exploring new places with his family and spending time at the beach.
