Mr. Zane Gerson is a dynamic Performing Arts Educator, Musical Theater Director, and Operations Leader with more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He previously served as the Director of Performing Arts at Mission Viejo Christian School. He co-leads SBG Studios as the Chief Operating Officer, where he co-owns a local music and art studio. 

As the CVCS Music Teacher (Theater and Choir), Mr. Gerson music directs our school’s annual musical theater productions—leading music rehearsals and equipping students to shine on stage through the musical components of a full-scale production.

He teaches choir classes to junior high and high school students, creating a positive, faith-filled environment where students can develop their musical talents and express themselves artistically to the glory of God.

Mr. Gerson’s career has spanned the coasts—from performing in national tours and regional theater to working in talent representation at the Daniel Hoff Agency in New York City. In education, he is known for his visionary leadership in building arts programs, directing musicals, teaching vocal technique, and integrating technical skills such as lighting, sound, and set design. At Mission Viejo Christian, he also launched a Digital Media Lab and created the school’s “Good Morning Crusaders” broadcast.

Mr. Gerson holds a B.A. in Communications – Entertainment Studies from California State University, Fullerton, where he graduated with honors. He is passionate about inspiring students to grow as confident, collaborative artists who use their God-given gifts to make an eternal impact.

Mr. Gerson and his wife recently celebrated their 19-year wedding anniversary and are deeply grateful for the life they’ve built together. They have three wonderful children who fill their home with laughter and energy. The family lives in Mission Viejo, California.
