Jenna Garrett
Jenna Garrett earned her B.A. in Literature, with a concentration in English Education, from Point Loma Nazarene University, where she also received her Single Subject English Credential. During her time at PLNU, she discovered a passion for supporting students as a writing tutor and for interdisciplinary learning as a member of the Humanities Honors Program. Inspired by the educators who shaped her and by her father’s ministry as a youth pastor, Mrs. Garrett felt a strong calling to teach and mentor young adults.
Mrs. Garrett joined CVCS in 2025 to teach English 9 and English SDAIE, bringing a creative, colorful spirit to her classroom. She finds great joy in engaging students in thoughtful discussion and meaningful reflection, often imagining herself as another student at a desk, learning right alongside them. Mrs. Garrett believes that education should not only stretch the mind but also cultivate empathy and deepen connection through the shared experience of reading and discussing stories.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys running, antiquing, listening to old folk music, and going on long walks with her husband.
