2026-2027 Key Dates

High School Early Applicant Period

High School (9–12) Early Review Period through December 2025.
Applications completed during the early review period receive priority consideration before seats are released to the general applicant pool. Once re-enrollment closes on January 31, 2026, placement becomes first come, first served.

Other Application Deadlines

January 30, 2026 — International Student Priority Application Deadline
February 1, 2026 — Elementary and Junior High (TK–8) Priority Deadline

Submitting by these dates gives your student the best chance at placement. After re-enrollment closes for current families on January 31, available seats will be offered first to the priority group. Applications submitted after these deadlines will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, and seats may be limited.

Admissions Decisions

December 15, 2025 — High School Decisions Begin
Priority applicants begin receiving their admissions decisions.
February 1, 2026 — Elementary and Junior High Decisions Begin
Priority applicants for TK–8 start receiving admissions decisions.

STEPS TO APPLY

Step 1: Complete Online Application

During the application form process, you will be prompted to upload some relevant documentation. Please have these digital files and emails ready to expedite the submission of your online application.

Documentation Needed:

TK–3rd grade:

birth certificate
*immunization record printed from the pediatrician's office within the past 90 days. (no yellow cards or stamped cards, etc will be accepted)
email of one teacher reference (They will receive an email directly from our online application system.) (not applicable for TK)
two years of most recent report cards (not applicable for TK)

4–6th grade:

birth certificate
*immunization record printed from the pediatrician's office within the past 90 days. (no yellow cards or stamped cards, etc will be accepted)
email of one teacher reference (They will receive an email directly from our online application system.)
two years of most recent report cards
most recent standardized testing

7–12th grade:

birth certificate
*immunization record printed from the pediatrician's office within the past 90 days. (no yellow cards or stamped cards, etc will be accepted)
emails for Math, English, and administrator references (They will receive an email directly from our online application system.)
email of student applicant (The student applicant must submit an essay through the online application form about why they would like to attend Capistrano Valley Christian Schools.)

All immunizations must be up to date in order to be considered for admissions and are required of all children attending a California school. As of 0/01/2021, we will not admit any students with a written medical exemption waiver.

The following vaccines are required for school entry:

VACCINE	DOSE
Polio	4 doses
DPT/DaPT	5 doses
Hepatitis B	3 doses
MMR	2 doses (beginning at 12 months)
Varicella	2 doses
Tdap	1 booster for 7th grade advancement

Step 2: Assessment and Family Interview

If selected to proceed in the application process, our admissions office will contact you to schedule a family interview and/or assessment if necessary. If you are not selected, you will be notified by email.

Attention Ninth Grade Applicants:
All applicants are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The HSPT will be used to help determine course placement, and can also be used to determine academic readiness for our high school. After your ninth grade application is submitted, you will receive a follow-up email regarding more information on the HSPT.
