Shadow Days

Elementary

Lower (TK-3rd)*: To best support the rhythm and structure of our lower elementary classrooms, which is especially important at this age, we do not offer shadow days for these grade levels. We would love to welcome you and your child for a campus tour, where you can visit classrooms and get a feel for the student experience in a more relaxed setting.

Upper (4th–6th)*: We are happy to accommodate shadow days for students with an active application on file whenever possible. Availability may be limited due to classroom space.

* Please note that each grade level has Ambassadors who host summer events designed to help students make friends and feel connected before the school year begins. These opportunities help foster community, reducing the need for shadow experiences to meet classmates.

High School Shadow Days

Come get a first-hand experience of a day in the life of a CVCS high school student. You will be paired with two high school students and attend classes, a chapel or a prayer and praise service, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast and lunch by our executive chef and the Eagles kitchen staff. We can't wait to show you our campus, culture, and the CVCS difference.

Schedule a Shadow Day

Shadow visits run from 8:15 AM to 1:00 PM every Thursday and Friday. Our shadow program is open from October through April. Shadows may not be booked more than 30 days in advance. Please select a date from the options below:

Specifics

  • Visiting shadow students will receive an email 1-2 days prior, confirming attendance and providing more details such as timing, etc. 
  • Lunch is provided for all students. Breakfast is also provided for Junior High and High School students. 
  • We recommend that students bring a water bottle.
  • Cell phone use is not permitted during class.
  • Students may have free time at the end of classes and may want to bring a book or homework during this time).

Attire

  • Students may wear chino pants, shorts, or non-ripped jeans, and a collared shirt, polo shirt, or blouse.
  • Graphic t-shirts, crop tops, or flip-flops are not allowed.
