Girls Basketball scores big victory over Liberty Christian, 52 - 20! Full slate of games this week!

Lydia Samuelsen led the Lady Eagles in their victory over Liberty Christian on Friday evening by tying a school record with six 3 point goals! Samuelsen tallied 33 points and 9 rebounds to go with 7 steals in the Express League victory. Jessica Wilson added 17 points, 10 steals, and 8 rebounds and Faith Kiernan pulled down 15 rebounds to go with her 7 steals against the Minutemen.

The Lady Eagles have a full slate of games this week; Monday the girls travel to TVT, Tuesday the girls are at Connelly and on Friday they are also on the road at Pacifica Christian.

Boys Soccer and Boys Basketball victorious in exciting come from behind victories!

Our boys soccer team came back from a 4 - 1 deficit with a furious 2nd half rally to take down Anaheim Discovery, 5 - 4, on Tuesday afternoon. Trey Henry scored two goals in the last few minutes of the game to lead the Eagles to their second consecutive league victory. The Boys Varsity soccer team travels to Southlands Christian on Friday at 3:00 pm in a battle of unbeatens in the Express League.

Our boys basketball team rebounded from a 30 - 15 halftime deficit to overcome Pacifica Christian 49 - 47 in an exciting comeback on Wednesday evening. Kevin Laws put in 14 points while Jeff Yan added 10 points in leading CVCS. The Eagles are now 3 - 0 in league and 16 - 4 overall.

The Boys Varsity and JV's travel to Webb on Friday with games on tap at 4:30 for the JV's and 6 pm for the Varsity.

Boys Varsity Basketball gains back to back San Joaquin league victories, 59 to 57!

Our boys varsity basketball team put on a furious 4th quarter rally on Thursday night to overcome an 8 point deficit with under two minutes to play to shock Orangewood, 59 to 57, in overtime! Troy Kihm led all scorers with 19 points while Festus Ndumanya and Kevin Laws added 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Before a jam packed crowd on "Winter Sports Bash Night", the Eagles slipped past Pacifica Christian in another hard fought San Joaquin battle. Aaron Frank fed Festus Ndumanya with a nifty inside pass and Festus scored the winning basket with just under six seconds left for another 59 to 57 victory! The Eagles ran their league record to 2 - 0 and their overall record to 14 - 4.

The boys varsity team has a full week coming up with games on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Monday, the Eagles travel to Costa Mesa HS to take on Elsinore in a non-league game at 1:30 pm. On Wednesday and Friday the Eagles are in San Joaquin league games at Pacifica Christian and at Webb, respectively. Game times are 7 pm for Wednesday and 6 pm for Friday.

Boys soccer victorious over St. Michael's Prep!

Our boys varsity soccer team squeeked out a 2 - 1 victory over St. Michael's Prep in Express league action on Friday. Andrew Beres scored both goals and Jack Roberts turned away 5 shots on goal by St. Michael's to gain the victory!
The boys are on the road next week as they travel to Anaheim to take on Discovery on Tuesday at 3:00 pm, and to Southlands Christian on Friday at 3:15 pm. Go Eagles!

CVCS Girls Varsity Basketball opens up league play with a victory over Pacifica Christian!

The Lady Eagles basketball team beat Pacifica Christian 49-16 in opening day of league play. The Lady Eagles put together a valiant effort and broke a ten year old school record along the way. Jessica Wilson dropped 13 points while dishing out 8 assists. Lydia Samuelson contributed 12 points and 8 steals. Hazel Walker had 2 points and 5 rebounds. Faith Kiernan's goal of breaking CVCS's three point record was reached with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter by swishing in her 6th three pointer. The previous record of 5 three pointers that stood for 10 years now belongs to Faith Kiernan. The Lady Eagles will take on Samueli Academy 5:00pm on Friday, January 12 at American Sports Center in Anaheim.
