Aaron Mansfield Athlete of the Week!

Aaron has led the team in scoring this past week, contributing to victories over our last two opponents. He is improving every match by bettering his score each week. Aaron is not only a leader on the course but off the field as well. He is a great example to the younger players of the expectations of the Eagles Golf program both on the course and in the community.

Trey Henry, Jack Roberts, and Seth Yu honored by the National Football Foundation!

Trey Henry, Jack Roberts, and Seth Yu were honored by the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame at its annual Scholar Banquet on Monday night at the Great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove.

Henry, Roberts, and Yu were recognized as scholar athletes for being 1st team All League players who have compiled over a 3.5 g.p.a. for their high school careers. The CVCS football players were among a record 98 student-athletes that were honored from high schools by the Orange County Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame.

The boys' names will be displayed with the other graduating 2019 high school senior scholar athletes from all over the United States in the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.

Congratulations to these outstanding scholar athletes from CVCS!

Christian Harris and Sabel Piper awarded as "Athletes of Character and Honor."

Christian Harris and Sabel Piper were recognized as CVCS's Athlete's of Character and Honor for 2018-19 by the Orange County Athletic Director's Association on Monday night at the Anaheim Convention Center!

Sabel, whose parents are Lisa and Dave Piper, is a multi-sport athlete who plays volleyball, basketball, and softball while also being an active member of CVCS's Student Leadership Team.

Sabel's softball coach, Shannon Justice, has these words when speaking of Sabel:
Her strong ethics and morality are in the forefront of her decision-making process. Sabel continually sees the bigger picture of serving others and is able to see another's perspective with grace . I am amazed as to the thoughtfulness, selflessness and maturity she demonstrates combined with the ability to smile at obstacles as she handles herself with integrity. She is an extraordinary young woman!

Christian Harris, whose parents are Mia and Ed Harris, was one of football's team captains and a 1st team all league player. Christian helped lead the team to their first league championship in 18 years and was also instrumental in leading the boys soccer team to the 2nd round of the CIF PLAYOFFS. Christian is also on the Student Leadership Team and one who is a strong spiritual leader in our school, leading his teams in prayer and the worship group during chapel. Christian has been named to the prestigious Eagle Award on numerous occasions which recognizes character, integrity, and one who carries out Christ like virtues while being a servant leader. Needless to say we are proud of this outstanding young man!

Spring Sports Bash and Navy/Cardinal game is tonight!

The Spring Sports Bash and Navy / Cardinal game is tonight! Come out and enjoy In-and-Out burgers, face painting, the bounce house, and get a look at our outstanding baseball team!

We will also be honoring our CVCS volunteers during the evening!

Festivities begin at 5:30 pm at the San Juan Sports Park baseball complex!

CIF State Brackets announced!

Our boys basketball team continues on into the CIF state playoffs and will be the host team versus Rancho Buena Vista (27 - 5) from the CIF San Diego section.

The Eagles' first round game will be held on Tuesday, February 26 at 7 pm at Capistrano Valley High School.

Tickets prices for the the State regional playoffs are:
General Admission - $9
Students / Children - 5+ / Seniors (65+) - $5

Boys Basketball - CIF Champions!!

Our boys basketball team made history as they captured the first CIF championship for the boys basketball program at CVCS! Congratulations to these outstanding young men and coaches as they honored God with their attitude, effort, and resiliency throughout the year!

Athlete of the Week: Luke Powell - Boys Basketball

Luke Powell is the CVCS' Athlete of the Week. Luke helped lead the CVCS boys team into the CIF championship game with 3 great performances last week in the CIF Southern Section playoffs.

In the 2nd round of the playoffs vs. Redlands HS, Luke scored 18 points including three 3 pointers, 4 assists, and 3 steals. In the quarterfinal round of the playoffs vs. Salesian HS, he continued his great play with 22 points and two 3 pointers. He finalized the week in the semifinals of the playoffs vs. Palos Verdes HS with 15 points, two 3 pointers, and 2 steals.

Congratulations to Luke and the CVCS Varsity boys basketball team for making school history in heading the CIF championship game this Saturday at Azusa Pacific University 12:30pm vs. Palm Springs HS.
