Athlete of the Week - Ella Landino

Last week's Athlete of the Week is junior Tennis player Ella Landino! In the words of Coach Wu, "In my book, if I have to choose between commitment or talent, I would choose the committed player every time. Ella Landino joined the team with zero playing experience. Not being accustomed to the irritation caused by swinging a racket, she developed a case of contact dermatitis on both hands. Yet, despite the severity and pain, Ella continued practicing with the team and never pulled out of a match. Not only was this level of commitment evident throughout the entire season, Ella has committed to off-season training as well. This is why Ella Landino is my nomination for "Athlete of the Week."
