Transitional Kindergarten
We believe our role is to partner with parents in attaining their God-given ability to bring their children up in the “training and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).
Our teachers relate to children in a warm and loving manner while they work to help them grow spiritually and academically. Our teachers delight in sharing the love of Christ with children!
Transitional Kindergarteners are introduced to phonics, reading, and basic math skills so they are well-prepared for kindergarten.
We offer a three-day half-day program and a five-day, full-day program for students from ages four to five.
What’s New?
-
TK5 Expanded Hours:
We are now offering a full day program to help meet the needs of our parents, and enhance the learning and opportunities for our students. Unlike the full day kinder program, these students will get an extended break at midday to help them unwind, rest and be ready for their specialities in the afternoon. The transition to the full day kindergarten program will be more seamless for our students with this model. The hours of the TK5 program will be in alignment with the rest of our elementary grades and thus will be helpful for parents with multiple children at our school. -
More Learning Opportunities:
Due to the extended day, our TK5 students will get to enjoy more frequency of our speciality classes (PE three times a week, Art twice a week and Music twice a week). Mrs. Stoll will also be able to provide differentiated instruction for EACH of the students based on where they are academically. This individualized attention is rare and will help them reach higher academic goals while also providing ample time to play and explore. -
TK Age Requirement:
We’re now able to offer our 5-day program to students ages 4 and up! With an adequate brain break built into the middle of the day, we can now extend this opportunity to our younger students.
What Does This Mean for Your Child?
These changes are designed to create a richer and more well-rounded educational experience. Our goal is to nurture each child’s unique potential, preparing them for success in Kindergarten and beyond. By fostering creativity, critical thinking, social skills, and emotional intelligence, we are setting the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
