Spiritual Life 

Bible / Curriculum: Positive Action for Christ: Learning About God
Students learn about God and His Son Jesus through both the Old Testament and the New Testament stories
 
Chapel
Students attend chapel weekly in a lively and powerful worship environment. They are exposed to biblical principles and stories through weekly speakers.
 

Academic

Language:

Students use language to express thoughts, emotions, and their environment by speaking in complete sentences using descriptive words. 

Writing / Curriculum: Handwriting without Tears

Students learn to write their own names using uppercase and lowercase letters. Students will be introduced to writing the alphabet (uppercase and lowercase letters) and numbers 1-10.

Phonics / Curriculum: Starfall

Students learn to recognizing and identifying both upper and lowercase alphabet names and letter sounds. Students will discover how to blend letter sounds together.

Mathematics / Curriculum: California HSP Math

Students will learn to count to at least 50. Emphasis is on understanding the value of numbers 1-10 and one-to-one correspondence. Students will be introduced to the concepts of more and less. They will also learn to identify various shapes.

Physical Education

Students develop basic motor skills, movement patterns, and safe participation in physical activities. Students learn how to run, jump, throw, catch, balance, and move in different directions, while also practicing cooperation, following rules, and modeling Christ-like behavior during games and activities. 

Music

Students explore and enjoy music through listening, singing, moving, and playing instruments. They also learn to understand worship as a spiritual discipline to grow closer to God.

Art

Students learn about the creative process, fine motor development, and self-expression through the exploration of various materials, tools, and techniques. Students use lines, shapes, colors, and textures to create their own artwork while developing an appreciation of God’s creativity and design.

Students must be planning to enroll in Kindergarten the following academic year.
TK5 is a one-year Kinder-prep program and may not be repeated.
