Our Elementary Art program meets once a week for an hour in each grade, with Transitional Kindergarten students enjoying two 30-minute art classes designed just for their age and attention span. Through age-appropriate projects, students are introduced to foundational fine art techniques and elements while being encouraged to express creativity and individuality. Lessons balance guided instruction with open-ended exploration, allowing students to build skills while developing confidence in their own ideas. In addition to drawing and painting, students experience a variety of hands-on art forms—including clay and ceramics, sewing, weaving, and printmaking—helping them discover new ways to create and, for many, a lasting love for art beyond the classroom.

Our Physical Education program for TK–6th grade provides a fun, positive, and safe environment where students explore movement through fitness, team sports, and age-appropriate activities. Students build healthy habits while learning teamwork, sportsmanship, and the value of giving their best effort. Elementary students participate in PE three times per week, with students in grades five through six completing physical fitness testing twice each year.

Our Elementary Spanish program provides an engaging introduction to language and culture from Transitional Kindergarten through sixth grade. Students build listening and speaking skills through songs, vocabulary, and interactive activities, with Spanish class fiestas and cultural experiences offered across K–6th grade. As students progress, they develop simple sentence structure, reading, and writing skills connected to everyday topics such as family, school, and daily life. Students in third through fifth grade also learn Spanish Bible memory verses, integrating faith with language learning. By sixth grade, students engage in simple conversations, interpret familiar texts, and explore the geography and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries, building global awareness and cross-cultural understanding.

The CVCS Elementary Student Leadership Team (SLT) empowers students to grow as confident, servant-hearted leaders who positively influence their school community. SLT members are passionate about modeling spiritual growth, academic excellence, and Christlike character while guiding and encouraging their peers. Throughout the year, students take on meaningful leadership roles by leading spirit assemblies, presenting morning announcements and pledges, serving as ambassadors at school events, and organizing fundraising efforts that support both community activities and mission-focused causes. Through regular leadership meetings and hands-on opportunities, SLT helps students develop responsibility, confidence, and a heart for service—preparing them to lead with purpose both on campus and beyond.

For many families, a typical weekday doesn't begin at 8:00 a.m. or end at 3:00 p.m. We offer CVCS students from TK to 8th grade supervised care both before and after school hours. This comprehensive fee-based program for extended-day care is offered on either an unlimited or drop-in basis. We make it easy for you by providing an after-school experience that is an extension of the community your child enjoys all day long. All staff members are CPR and first aid trained.

Kids Club is open to our families on non-school days, such as Parent-Teacher Conferences, as well as on days when school is closed for holidays.
