The Learner Profile empowers students to take ownership of their education, reflect on their goals, and showcase meaningful work from all four years of high school. Through guided mentorship, structured conferences, and self-presentation, students deepen their learning, cultivate professionalism, and build a dynamic portfolio to share with colleges, employers, and beyond.

The Capistrano Valley Christian Schools Podcast Network (CVCSPN) is a student-driven initiative that releases weekly episodes from our on-campus studio, featuring 13 different podcasts and enriching academic opportunities, while involving CVCS students of all grade levels in every aspect of podcast production, including writing, recording, and editing.

Our high school is a 1-to-1 Apple environment, where every teacher and student is equipped with their own MacBook Air. Students are able to take their MacBooks home with them to complete schoolwork. MacBooks provide our students with reliability, fast performance, industry-leading battery life, easy access to creative and collaborative tools, increased safety, among other benefits. Additionally, every classroom is equipped with a fast and secure Wi-Fi network and a large 4K TV with an Apple TV for screen-sharing.

At CVCS, classrooms are designed to foster collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking, with seating arrangements like Harkness Tables and small group layouts that encourage active participation from all students. Math classrooms feature whiteboards on every wall to promote collaborative problem-solving with teacher guidance.

At CVCS, students embark on meaningful projects that integrate academic learning with personal growth and community impact. From the Freshman Cornerstone Project, which introduces cultural values and active school involvement, to the Senior Capstone, where students design personalized, real-world research projects, each year builds skills and confidence. These experiences emphasize creativity, collaboration, and self-reflection, preparing students to thrive academically, spiritually, and socially.

Chapel

CVCS fosters spiritual growth through weekly Bible classes, Thursday chapel messages, and Friday prayer and praise led by our student worship band.

Retreat

Each fall, students spend three transformative days in the mountains, connecting with God and each other through play, prayer, reflection, and worship.

Service

Students complete 20 service hours annually, serving locally and through mission trips to Molokai and Mexico, with future global trips in development.

Leadership

Our Prefect Model empowers students to lead on campus, serving under the mentorship of CVCS faculty and staff.

CVCS offers students the opportunity to pursue a Business & Entrepreneurship track, equipping them with practical skills and innovative thinking for future success. Through specialized coursework, real-world projects, and mentorship, students gain a strong foundation in business principles and creative problem-solving. Graduates who complete this track earn a distinguished honor on their diploma, showcasing their dedication and expertise in this dynamic field.
