Concert Choir

Concert Choir is a non-auditioned ensemble open to all students, regardless of experience level. Designed to foster a love for choral music, this class offers a welcoming, inclusive environment where every voice is valued.

Students will develop vocal technique, musical literacy, and ensemble skills through a diverse repertoire that spans various genres, styles, and historical periods. The course includes instruction in basic vocal exercises, ear training, and harmonization techniques—all aimed at building confidence and musical growth.

A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, positive collaboration, and creating a supportive performance culture. Participation in concerts and public performances is a key component of the class. No prior vocal training is required—just a willingness to learn, grow, and enjoy making music together.

Chamber Choir (Audition Only – Honors Level)

Chamber Choir is an advanced, auditioned ensemble designed for passionate and dedicated singers who are ready to excel in a rigorous, performance-focused setting. This honors-level course is ideal for students with a strong foundation in choral music who are eager to refine their vocal technique, expand their range, and engage with sophisticated choral literature.

Through challenging repertoire—including classical masterpieces, contemporary works, and music from diverse cultures—students will deepen their skills in complex harmonies, advanced sight-reading, and expressive vocal artistry. Emphasis is placed on musical precision, emotional expression, and cohesive ensemble performance.

Auditions are required to evaluate vocal ability, range, and musicianship. Students must be committed to early morning rehearsals (zero period), consistent home practice, and active participation in all concerts, festivals, and public performances throughout the year.

This course provides an exceptional opportunity for serious vocalists to grow as musicians, collaborate at a high level, and share their talents with the broader community.

Barbershop Ensemble (Coming Soon – For Guys Only!)

We’re excited to introduce a new opportunity just for our male vocalists! The Barbershop Ensemble is designed to strengthen independent singing skills and explore the rich tradition of tight, a cappella harmonies in a fun and challenging format.

Similar in rigor to Chamber Choir, this class will focus on advanced sight-reading, complex harmonization, and expressive vocal technique—all within the distinct and dynamic style of barbershop and men’s ensemble music. Students will work closely as a team to build vocal precision, blend, and confidence.

Participants will perform at all major choir concerts, festivals, and community events throughout the year.

Note: This course is currently in development—stay tuned for updates!
