All students must follow the uniform guidelines/clothing norms at school and all school sponsored events. This includes, but is not limited to, school activities, field trips, and any other school sponsored event.

Elementary School

Elementary students will receive their classroom teacher assignment at the Welcome Rally on August 12, 2024. 

Junior High/High School

Stay tuned for your junior high and high school student schedules, which will be conveniently accessible online through the FACTS Family Portal. You can find them by visiting the online grade book at this link: FACTS Family Portal. Mark your calendars for August 12, 2024, when schedules will be posted. To ensure you're ready for the upcoming academic year, classes will also be emailed to all families by the end of July, allowing ample time for textbook purchases.

Elementary school hours are from 8:15 am to 3:00 pm

Junior high school hours are from 7:50 am to 2:25 pm with a late start of 8:40 am on Thursday and Fridays.

High school hours are from 7:50 am to 2:30 pm with a late start of 8:30 am on Thursday and Fridays.

The Eagles Kitchen offers students healthy and delicious breakfast and lunch meals prepared from scratch by our own full-time Executive Chef and culinary team. No pre-ordering is required!

We are thrilled to announce an exciting development in our commitment to providing a cutting-edge educational experience for our students. Starting this fall, our high school will transition from Lenovo PCs to a 1:1 Apple program, equipping each student with a MacBook Air to support their learning journey.

This initiative is a significant step forward in integrating technology into our curriculum, enabling personalized learning and fostering an environment where students can thrive in the digital age.

The 1:1 MacBook Air program is designed to enhance the educational experience by providing:

• Every student will have access to a wide range of educational apps and resources tailored to their learning needs, promoting a more engaging and personalized education.

• The MacBook Air’s versatility and ease of use will allow for seamless integration into our daily teaching and learning activities, ensuring students are well-prepared for the technological demands of the future.

• With a MacBook Air at their fingertips, students will have endless opportunities to collaborate with peers and teachers, fostering creativity and innovation in projects, assignments, and research.

• Equipping students with personal laptops comes with the responsibility of using technology ethically and wisely. We are committed to guiding our students to become responsible digital citizens while incorporating online safety.

Distribution and Training

To ensure a smooth transition, we will provide detailed information on the distribution process, including how and when students will receive their MacBook Airs in preparation for the start of school. Additionally, we will offer training sessions for students and parents to familiarize everyone with the devices and discuss best practices for their use in both academic and personal settings.

Looking Ahead

We believe that this transition will open new doors for our students, providing them with the tools and skills necessary to succeed in a rapidly evolving digital world. We are excited to embark on this journey together and are confident that the 1:1 MacBook Air program will enrich our students’ educational experience in countless ways.

The Junior High students will continue with the recently acquired Lenovo laptops for another 2-3 years and then transition to MacBook Air laptops as well. 

Fourth through sixth grade students receive a classroom laptop to use at school.

Junior high and high school students will receive their locker number and combination at the Welcome Rally.  All lockers come equipped with a combination lock. You do not need to purchase your own lock.

A student's experience at CVCS is a partnership between the family and school. CVCS's parent association is called PACE. PACE supports the community by providing opportunities to support the work of the school and providing ways for CVCS parents to volunteer, get to know each other, forming friendships and support networks as their students move through the grades.

On Fridays, students get to take a break from the usual uniform dress code and are allowed to wear a CVCS Friday t-shirt with blue jeans (other CVCS spirit tops are permitted on Fridays as well). The t-shirt highlights the theme of the school year. Friday shirts are for sale through the school at the Welcome Rally and throughout the year.

As part of our health and wellness initiative, CVCS maintains a mandatory drug testing policy for all junior high and high school students. Students are required to undergo an annual hair test administered by a certified staff member at the beginning of each school year. Student-specific results from the inaugural round of testing are sent directly and exclusively to parents. CVCS administrators will neither receive nor have access to these student-specific results but will receive aggregate drug-use information. Additionally, random testing occurs throughout the school year.

For many families, a typical weekday doesn't begin at 8:00 a.m. or end at 3:00 p.m. We offer CVCS students from ages 4.9 to 15 years old supervised care both before and after school hours. This comprehensive fee-based program for extended-day care is offered on either an unlimited or drop-in basis. We make it easy for you by providing an after-school experience that is an extension of the community your child enjoys all day long. All staff members are CPR and first aid trained.
