Join PACE (Parents Assisting CVCS Enrichment)

Our parent association, PACE (Parents Assisting CVCS Enrichment), is a dynamic and essential part of the CVCS community, driven entirely by dedicated parent volunteers. PACE plays a crucial role in supporting the school’s mission and enhancing the experiences of both our teachers and students.

Through thoughtfully organized events, PACE provides parents with meaningful opportunities to collaborate with the school, directly enriching students' lives. In the process, parents forge lifelong friendships and build a robust and supportive community within CVCS.

Volunteer Registration and LiveScan Fingerprinting Form

In California, Assembly Bill 506 (AB 506), effective January 1, 2022, mandates that all youth service organizations, including schools like Capistrano Valley Christian Schools (CVCS), comply with specific requirements to enhance child safety. This legislation has been further refined by Assembly Bill 2669 (AB 2669), effective January 1, 2024.

All CVCS Volunteers are required to satisfy the following requirements before they can be cleared to serve:

Complete Live Scan Background Check: All volunteers must undergo the Live Scan fingerprinting process. This process allows the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to release the volunteer's Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Subsequent Arrest Notifications (SAN) to CVCS for the duration of the volunteer's period of service. CVCS uses this information to identify and exclude individuals with disqualifying criminal records.
Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training: All volunteers are required to complete training in child abuse and neglect identification and reporting at the start of their service period, and every two (2) years for as long as they remain an active volunteer. CVCS Volunteers will be enrolled in a 60-minute online training course by Human Resources.

These measures are designed to strengthen protections for children and ensure that individuals working with youth are properly vetted and trained to recognize and report abuse. Compliance with these mandates is essential for all youth-serving organizations in California.
