Course Descriptions

CVCS Junior High courses for 7th and 8th grade provide a well-rounded, Christ-centered education that prepares students academically, socially, and spiritually. Core subjects like math, science, English, and history are taught with an emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, and biblical integration. Junior High Adventure Club takes students beyond the classroom on unforgettable trips, where they camp, hike, surf, and explore God’s creation while building resilience, teamwork, and lasting friendships.

The health office provides students and school staff with basic health care, first aid, and health counseling that emphasizes illness prevention. It is staffed with one full-time health officer and is open during the regular school hours.

Adventure Awaits: Exploring, Growing, and Thriving in Junior High

The Adventure Club in Junior High is a one-of-a-kind experience that takes students beyond the classroom and into the great outdoors. Each year, seventh and eighth graders embark on unforgettable trips to incredible destinations like Joshua Tree, Zion National Park, Kelso Dunes and Valley of Fire State Park, and San Elijo State Beach. They camp under the stars, cook their own meals, hike through breathtaking landscapes, surf along the California coast, and build lasting friendships through shared challenges and adventures. This hands-on, immersive program fosters resilience, teamwork, and a love for God’s creation—an experience like no other. And the adventure doesn’t stop here!
